The first match for -[CfH]- in the STA 5v5 Screening Ladder will hopefully take place this Tuesday at 9:30 eastern time. The first round is on our server. At around 9:25...I'll be taking it down for our match. It will be available for public use again shortly after 10:00 pm eastern time.
Unlike our first two attempts...I will make HLTV available for the first 20 people who wish to view the match. If there are any problems doing so...I may have to limit it.
Please be aware that there will be at least one representative of our opponents team viewing HLTV with us...STA rules. They are to be treated with respect at all times. You can make fun of OUR team all you want...this is the fun house. But treat our guests as you would wish to be treated in their home. This would be your best chance of being allowed to watch the away match on our opponents HLTV if their resources permit.
We know nothing of the team we'll be facing. They very well may be a highly skilled team destined for the top divisions. We could get slaughtered...or, it could be an entertaining match. We'll find out Tuesday. The purpose of the screening ladder is to insure STA reps that we can pull off a match with the required configs and software (HLTV & RingerFree). Then, we'll be placed in a division that matches our abilities.
Wish us luck... |

So wait... we can view the match this time? If so, how and when.
I hate reading your long posts, chips. |

You can view the match on our home server. A match consists of two rounds; one on ours, one on theirs. I don't know if our opponents will make HLTV available for the round on their server...that's their choice.
I will give out the HLTV server IP and password on match day. |

This evening, two of our opponents players came one our server...and were treated rather badly. True they were spouting a bunch of religiousness...but it was not harmfull to anyone. If this is their "schtick"...fine. If it wasn't...fine. It was offensive in no way nor did they direct any comments at anyone individually. They were not disruptive to the game and at worst...they were totally amusing.
Yet, many found it necessary to go out of their way to act even more rude than usual...very poor form. I'm sure you can count on not seeing the match on their server for sure now...not that this was ever certain. Even after I asked everyone to treat our opponents, or anyone else new to the server for that matter, with respect...quite a few chose not to. I'm greatly disappointed. |

Guess I'll post the results.
Once again there was a long delay in the beginning as we had to wait for them to get their team organized, even then they only had 4 players about half an hour after we were suppose to start and one of them couldn't play because he wasn't on their current roster. All that said we ended up playing 5 against 3.
When we actually did get the match going the other team pretty much just screwed around the whole time and we ended up winning 150-10 pretty easily. Their third person ended up leaving with a few minutes left leaving it to be 5 against 2 near the end.
After the first round our second round team was ready to go, but since the other team's third person had gone to bed, they forfeited the second round. According to the rules that means we get our first round score (150) for our second round score also and they get a big fat zero.
So after all was said and done, barring any action taken by the STA admins we should have a victory by a score of 300-10. That would make us 3-0 so far (Two other victories by forfeit).
Here is a screenshot of the end of the match results, it's really small because for some reason my paint program won't convert it to a different file type, so if you have real good eyes you might be able to make out the scores . Also remember they had a third player the majority of the time that dropped out near the end.

Edit: I cropped out as much as I could of the screenshot to make it larger, now you should be able to see it. |
