I'm all for 1 HW for 99% of maps. You can take snipers completely off as far as I'm concerned. Razz

i need to practice sniper more.set sniper to 3 because theres usually already 2 snipers Razz

for hw i think the current limit is fine.

I think the limit definitely depends on the map. For HW it doesn't really matter to me on ctf maps, but on maps like dustbowl, one as the limit i feel would be better for the attackers, however it would weaken defender defenses. You just may have to vary it a lot. See what it's like with one on some maps and see if they need two or if two is too many. It's really up to you chips for the hwguy.

As for the sniper, most of you probably realize i only really snipe. This is mostly because it's the only class i'm reasonably good at with my pc. I need to improve my concing skills to be med or scout, pyro is out of the question, and with as laggy as i am sometimes, i plainly can't play as hw, soli, spy, or demo. The sniper limit doesn't really bother me that much on some maps... i think it would be better to keep it at two for maps like dustbowl, 2fort, and well. Basically keep it at two for larger maps (mainly ttack/defend maps) and down to one for smaller maps (smallfort).

Finally for engi, since i snipe mostly, i can't say i really have a problem with it, but i know it can be frustrating with 2 or 3 sgs on attack/defend maps or even ctf maps. I'd say just leave it at 2-3, maybe 1 for the smallest of maps.

Like others have said, it's your server chips, so it's really in your hands more than ours.

Snipers are useful for taking out SG's at long range. We should have at least one. HW's and Engies are fine. I've played HW many times and been killed by spy's left and right (Chaos, weet, Transient, Kayne, etc...)

Also I think it would be good for some of us to learn other classes. Recently I have been playing Demo and Soldier more than any other class. I really stink at those, but would love to learn to be affective as either. It wouldn't kill us to step out of the "comfort zone" of our favorite classes once in a while....

CfH = fun, good sportsmanship, competitive action and LEARNING.

We've all come a long way by having a place like CfH to come to. Where people stop in conc maps and help a newcomer until he makes it past a jump. Where someone who consistently kicks your butt tells you what you keep doing wrong/need to improve.

Class restrictions help keep this atmosphere. Especially as more then one or two snipers, engies or HW's can kill certain maps. 0 of any class is just silly. Good topic, though. The passion conveyed in the posts says this is a hot issue!

Like I said...I'm pretty happy with all other class limits currently in place.
Just wanted opinions on HW. Seems appropriate to do it by indiviual map...although, this will certainly take more of my time. But it's probably worth it.

All other class restrictions stay the same.
