The Union dues arnt that much. They take some out of your check each week and and i have to pay some each month. I belive its like $33 dollars or so which isnt all that bad considering the money I make. How many people can say they make a grand a week as a dumb construction worker? Very Happy

I have been thinking about doing a little traveling after I get out of my apprenticeship. I can go any where in the contry and get a job with another Sprinklerfitters Union as long as they are hireing.

The pay is great, the work isnt all that hard all the time. You might get a crappy day but then the rest of the week might be a breeze. Most of the time you get to work with good guys, and you know you will always have a job. Cant beat that with a stick. Good Idea

Spidy thats not a toilet, its a laundry basket. Very Happy

ooooh your still in apprentice so I would say roughly 50% of what a Journeyman makes. I was thinking of joining but I'm not sure anymore. I do know that a journey makes abuot 36$ an hour for pipefitting that is so you do the math. it adds to about 70k a year all this before taxes of course Razz about 5700 a month meh. It would get the bills payed

Yes I am still a Apprentice. Im in my 5th year right now so i make 95% of the fitters rate. I take my test in the next month or so and after that I make the full rate. Yea its right up there around 70k a year or so. I know I was just looking at my tax info real quick and I was up to like 53k after taxes and that was while not working a full year. Very Happy
