IRC will be required for matches and practices. For matches, it's mandatory. I say for practices also cause we have to get used to communicating with it on as we play also. Remember...only X amount of team members will be playing. The rest will be watching on HLTV and be in contact with Aud through IRC.

Any other time you want to join the IRC room is simply in support of jarrett and all his efforts there. It would be nice if more people could hang there when they can.

I tried to get irc working but I have to work with my friend that runs the 3x9 channel to get it working so when I get him on aim I will idle in #cfh

I've never been huge fan of IRC or any instant messaging to be honest. But if you follow Jarrett's simple instructions here:

Some thoughts...

7v7 sounds better at this point with 17 members already...if we add the more elite...this number will only grow. Hey, maybe even 9v9 if a ladder exists for that. Again, it's just my opinion that this group should be left to those of us that have little to no clan experience...at least, in the beginning. Nope, Transient and others at their level should definitely be leaned on for help and assistance and can be brought in later if it's felt we're too weak to compete at any level. Again, if they're interested, we could also explore a higer level playing group of that caliber. I would fully support this.

[rant]The day we need to freeze players...bump, slay or other actions to get their attention, is the day I'll make sure they're no longer a member of the team. If that involves removing their tags and banning them from the servers...fine. This is all being done for "fun", but it has a serious side also.
We won't have any fun if we're disorganized and are romped every week in a match. Members will either listen to Aud and anyone else he designates or they're history. Aud will be putting an effort into this and so am I; running and setting up servers and HLTV. I'm not putting out this effort for naught. This WILL be great fun if we all pay attention to Aud and his designees and commit to this totally. [/rant]

Anyone wanna back up, per my earlier post, and let me know where I might find clan information? Stuff like what the heck is 1337, what are the rules for having a server certified / audited, etc? I wanna learn, just don't have the extra cycles to find this stuff by searching and wasting time. . .

Since we now know we have a capable server, I would definetly support a 7v7 team as well as a 5v5.

Personally, I would absolutely love an ADL team, but there's only two divisions, and silver seems too good.

Angry...Aud's link has lots of good info on the league itelf, it's requirements and rules. Definitely check that out.

"1337" is game talk for "leet" or "elite"...like weet. Laughing

Anyway...the 1 is for "L"...the 3 is a backwards "E" and the 7 is supposed to be a "T"...get it. Razz

God i'd love to join an ADL clan, i finally bothered to apply for .id membership...
