Chips' Fun House ~ View topic

Hey guys!!! I just entered a photocontest at the mall. I have 4 pictures there and any of you guys in the area want to see them just go to the Sunrise Mall between April 29 to May 9. Ill find out where they are in the mall when i see them on the 30th or 1st. Even if you do live in the Sacramento area, you don't have to go see them, I won't know if you do or not. This is my first time showing my work publicly except for my photography classes. I must tell you, I come from a long line of photographers, my dad did photographs as a hobby. This is amatuer and I am not a professional or will take pictures for a living, doesn't pay that well. Wink

good to see you getting your work out there dude. i have a few friend that are into art and go to school for it. One is a Photog nut and the other is into animation and painting. they hold shows every once in a while and really enjoy it and i think you will to.

BTW you photo guys are crazy!!!!!!! my buddy has i swear like 18 cameras Shocked

one of my friends got a couple of his pictures put on a local soda companies bottles. pretty sweet.

I know of jones soda company. they are pretty tasty to, and if i rember from memory the orange soda bottle has a picture of bar stool or some thing like that on it.

but yea that is cool that he got his pics on a soda bottle.

they switch up their pictures all the time. Jones soda is damn good. My favorite picture was kermit the frog passed out on a lawn.

How did my photography post turn into a thread about Jones Soda. It is especially bad because I have never heard of the product my thread has turned into. Wink

i forgot which flavor bottles he has his pictures on... but he has 2 diff pictures on 2 diff bottles.
the sad part is he didn't get any money nor free soda for it... its just cool that he can say he's done it.
(if i remember right, one is a picture of a dragon like thing, the other is... i don't remember =/ )

LOL to help the situation along, i have a few friends going into photography. i find it very interesting, but i suck at taking pictures myself Embarassed

I took a few pictures that i like i will have to add them into my photobucket thingy. mostly buildings and some chinesse artwork on a building.

Ok guys, the pictures are being displayed now, but they are in the corners of the center of the Sunrise Mall. They will spread them out and show the awards on May 2nd. I have 4 pictures there and their numbers are: 7, 66, 226. The fourth picture i cound not find, prolly because they were up against thew wall and we cant get aorund it. Evil or Very Mad

My fourth picture is of a cherry tomato plant with a small tomato in the center.

None of my photos got any awards. Im not upset, the one that beat me out were good. I would just hate to be a judge, they are all pretty good. Wink

Ah...but you're young and gain experience every day. Already having your photos shown in a show like this is good. Your work will get better and the shows will get bigger.
