Religion should play no part in whether gays should get married or not, but unfortunately it does play a significant role. It is hard to know where to be on this issue, and I doubt any of us will come to a consensus about it. It seems from the past election that most of America is conservative, and most conservatives are opposed to this ever taking place. For those who are conservative, have you guys ever heard a little thing called seperation of church and state? The church should not be allowed to even touch this decision. I don't care what the F the bible or Torah or Koran says, because those texts were written very long ago. Times are different now, and with time comes change. Whether you like it or not, this issue will never go away until a consesus is reached, and a consensus will not be reached until a marriage between two gay people is nationally recognized. Gay marriages are already recognized by the local level, but nationally it is not. In my own opinion I want gay marriage to be legal. I'm not gay, but I could give less of a crap if two gay people I don't know want to get married. Another reason I wish it was legal is so the issue will go away. I'm sick of people debating over something, that in my opinion could be easily solved.

I have a comment to the religous people out there.
If God created everything, why ddid he create humans? Humans are destroying the world with these poluting cars!!! This comment was not totaly directed at God, it was also a shot at the car companies and oil companies for destroying our ecosystem. Evil or Very Mad

@|2eflex: I am actually more bi but I am also monogamous. I only have one gf/bf at a time. It depends on the persons personality, not their gender. And about choice: I've been active since under 10 with both guys and girls. I don't rememer "choosing", all I knew was it felt good either way.

Do you by chance sit next to me in my English class? He has some homosexual tendecies. The guy has a rolling backpack!!!! HA HA HA HA!!! Weirdo.... Laughing

I have a question that I asked one of my CCD teachers a long time ago when I used to go(which resulted in me getting kicked out of CCD)

"If God made the heavens and the earth, and Heaven is were they say God resides now then what did he do before he made the heavens and the earth? Did he float around in nothingness with a pair of Air Jordans on?

and yes i did ask her this question like this, remeber i was like 8 and i loved my Air Jordans!!!

also another question to ponder is

If God gave us free will as in the right to choose then why is it that so many people and religions are trying to push others toward their way of thinking and beliving? Wouldnt this be like ignoring the free will that God gave to us and in some way acting like God themselves by imposing their views and beleifs on others?

really just a question that i have pondered for some time now.

Yes, what created God? Was he even created in real life or in some guy's mind who was sitting at home drinking a beer and shooting squirels thinking, what created us?
Side question: What is CCD? And nice question of authority!! FIGHT THE POWER!!!!

Is there really a point about debating god? No side can disprove the other.
Besides, It looks like im the minority at this point.

CCD is like a church after school thing in which you learn about religion and what not. You get coloring books of the last supper and what not then move on to work books when you get older.

i go to CCD right now and im asking same question CC did so i could get kicked out lol
we dont get coloring book we get some books that have chapters and units and other shtuff like that but its pretty fun when my teacher talks and i draw a bubble saying "Look Weed!" by some lady that was holding a palm when jesus was entering jerusulem (however you spell it) but yea back on track here

ok, bout the god thing, i think god was the 1 thing in the unisure (w/e) that created everything and he created humans as a flaw to prove how nothings perfect, my brain hurts but i think i got it right -.-

Well for one paul you can think you got it right but really there is no right answer for a question like this.

and two God didnt just create Earth. He also created according to the bible and most religions that he created the entire universe eg: saturn ,pluto and all the stars that go beyond the human eye can see. So really i posed the question where, if he did exist, did God stay? I mean in the bile you can devise that God is in the form or near the form of Man so was God floating around in the form of Man in some sort of nothingness?

I've had these arguments many times with people, while I don't believe them, their argument is:
We were created by god, and given free will because he loves us.
