Chips' Fun House ~ View topic

Ide just like to take a FEW minute and say some much needed things about Chips. First off after 5 years of tfc server drifting I can honestly say that Chips is among the TOP tfc operators on the network and has been since he first launched his server about 2 years ago. Unlike many server gods he does not walk around with a god like hammer and fist attitude trying to force a holyer then thou ownage upon his players. He is friendly, fun, fair, and is a pleasure to play tfc with even when he is suckin the high hard one in the game on some given night. He treats his players like friends until it is no longer possible. He treats his friends with respect and listens to what they have to say. This is what has pulled me back to chips server over and over again while constantly searching for a new home tfc server. For me, my search is over finaly, I have come to realize that this is my favorite server and Chips is my favorite server opp period.

In those 2 years there have been many changes in a sort of rags to riches way, and some where not always to my liking. This is not chips fault since the player base creates the servers own individualty and each individual player effects the environment of the server. I think that deep down Chips himself has just kind of followed with the flow of his growing population. I have had to set those/my difference to the side and go in favor of chips, because I know he himself is worth playing tfc with anytime. I am not much of a forum buff so it has takin me way to long to come here and tell it how I see it and I am sorry for that.

Thanks for being there for me Chips, when I needed a good game.

Howling...you've played far more than a few maps with this guy. Laughing

Adam...his talk of dislike is not a who, but a what (well, I'm sure there's a few "whos" in there too). What first attracted players here was the hook mod and all the other goofy stuff that happens here. Several changes I've made over time were not always appreciated by all players. Like when we put TFCTech back on for a while...haven't seen TeKniX since...he dislikes it. WoW also sucked him away too. He's right that I've tried to cater to what the "crowd" wanted. And that's as it should be...keep the people happy, they keep coming back; the majority at least. But we all know you can't please all the people, all the time.

Anyway...I put the server up the first night to play with some friends from Keegs. About 7 people showed up that night. When I put it up the next night and the second map...Well, came on...the place filled up...all 20 slots. Shocked

That was the first night I left the server up when I went to bed cause peeps were playing there...didn't want to ruin their fun. It's been up every day since. Razz

My wife askes me all the time "why do you spend so much time on that stupid game". Well, it's comments like this and the pleasure I get playing with all of you that keeps me wanting to do this. God only knows, it's not Like I get paid for doing this.

Ask me in person who I formerly am I will gladly tell you in private but I have scraped my old name because sometimes people/players are not mature enough to leave well enough alone and move on from old battles like I have tried my hardest to do so.

I honestly thought the server had been up for 17 months to 2 years, my bad.. but chips did attest ive been here for a long time. The older I get the more I seem to loose track of time, or so I make myself feel that way.
