cant ever get into that map. once the server changes to ksour, my tfc quits instantly. no luck ever ytuing to get into it, just quits out.
i have deleted the map and dloaded from the server again
i have located the map on the web and tried puting it in my maps folder
i have tested trying to get into my own listenserver and it quits out too.
i have NOT tried it on my old won tfc(lan server mode)....
--EDIT-- just tried on win tfc and it worked.
now that i see the map again i wonder wtf because sometimes it does lat me play.. |

| sounds like you got an error with one of the wad files it uses. |

Running the map through ResGen...I get these required files:
// .res entries (13):
tfc2.wad - in tfc folder
tfc.wad - in tfc folder
halflife.wad - in valve folder
liquids.wad - in valve folder
gfx/env/afrikaup.tga
gfx/env/afrikadn.tga
gfx/env/afrikalf.tga
gfx/env/afrikart.tga
gfx/env/afrikaft.tga
gfx/env/afrikabk.tga
models/flag.mdl
sound/weapons/scock1.wav - built into map or not needed, I don't have this file either.
models/suckopack.mdl
The .tga files prolly aren't required either...you'd just have a different sky map. But check them anyway. You already told me you have suckopack.mdl...and everyone has flag.mdl or you couldn't play MOST maps.
I'm gonna go with Adam on this one. Perhaps a corrupt wad file. Most maps require those same .wad files as above though. Still, one could be corrupt.
I would...
A) Move all the above files to a folder on your desktop in case you need them.
B) Connect to steam to download the .wads and the flag.mdl.
C) Connect to the server to download the .tga files and suckopack.mdl. When Ksour is running...of course.
This would install all these required files...fresh. If that doesn't do it...nothing will. |

He states it just crashes clean to the desktop. I wonder if he has error reporting turned off?
I do, so my home server can autostart without having to click an error box. I have to turn it back on to troubleshoot. |

tfc just randomly quitting for me is very common. 2 situations it happens, in game randomly and when im getting a new map. the in game ones usually happen within the first 2 min of a map, if a map just changed, and im still there. the second situation happens actually very often on blade's server. i think its sumthin to do with the .tga files, maybe they arent put in the right place when a person tries to dl? well, all i know is on MANY times i have had to go to another place to dl a map because if i try to get onto blade's i get kicked out of tfc, or my comp freezes and the only way to make it unfreeze is to press the reset button on my comp  |
