This issue still needs some attention. I dont know how to explain it other than what is stated in the title. I know there are a few (probably more) that know what Im talking about, or have experienced it first hand. I remember Chips saying that he thought it was taken care of, or at least had made it a lot better. Well, I think its back to its old ways, as bad if not worse than before. Weetweet and CC were in server tonite when it was really bad, at about 7:45pm, the map was monkey_l. Any suggestions Chips, or anyone else?

It's not just the bots...although, you can see it best with them. We had a full server on dustbowl yesterday and everyone was moving around in this way. There were even a few points where we stuck in place for over 5 seconds.

It only seems to happen at times of heaviest internet traffic. We've had plenty of peeps on late one night and all was fine, including any bots. I'm sure we're on a good box with a good connection. But there must be other stuff happening on this box and using much bandwidth. This guy does run a server business...he can't dedicate all his cpu and bandwidth to us. I would still expect it to be better somehow.

well if it is a business then that is even worse tbh, if he expected to run one he really should have been a bit more prepaired Razz

He doesn't run gameservers as a business...web hosting and the like it more what he does. Still don't understand the weird behavior since I can run the whole thing pretty well on my cable connection.

Yea Chips i just spent most of the night with him and was poking around at this he told me that the priorities are what they used to be, Us high and all, and that until he or we can figure this out its free. He did tell me that he is going to look into it and also get his tech involved as well. He has just been really swamped at work with customers and repairs that he hasnt had the time to dive into it fully and try to solve it. But he did say that he is working on it slowly but surely. Very Happy

Yeah...I don't believe it's an issue with the priority the server gets. And please tell him we appreciate what he's doing for us.

Ask him to run the updatetool when he gets a chance. There was a minor update after I uploaded everything...but I can't do that, he'll have to. I doubt it will help, but it's worth a shot.
