This afternoon...Audhumla and I competed in a friendly battle at the euro id server...USA vs. The World. We kicked their booties...6-0. Read here:

Aud's pipework on dustbowl was awesome and the Chipster got 3 of the 4 caps on Ksour. Nice showing for us CfHers. Next time, we get skibbles.id involved.

Im just wondering why it does not have the CFH tag in front of ya name Chips? Do you drop it when ID ing?  |

Our team really did smack 'em down. When we were D on Osaka and Dustbowl they never finished, and when we were O we DOMINATED. Had to redo Osaka though. Server crashed RIGHT as I was in air above cap 1 w/flag. When we did Cornfield, I am pretty sure we capped all 4 twice, them once. On Ksour, we started on D and held them off for a REALLY long time.
Total ownage, and great teamwork went down. Got a double airshot, and I used my mic :O |

Nope...I wore it the whole time except on Osaka when I changed it to [USA]...Aud wore his countless tags, including ours.
Wahoo...this was basically amongst the members of the .id guild. Only members were invited to play. This certainly involved some good players from what I saw, but certainly not the absolute best from around the world.
And yes, Aud used his mic...he has a voice... |

best teamwork comes when an entire team uses mic and cooperates together. cuz talking is so much more effective than typing when on the run  |

This type of map (I/D) also forces cooperation. Your WHOLE team either plays O or D. No bickering or complaining about who does which...like on CTF maps.
We made very few changes along the way. On O, we were almost all sollys with a scout and a demo or two tossed in. Good attacking power...yet mobile with a few good rocket/pipe jumps. On D, we only used two engies once...on DB. Mostly one engie, a couple of demos, one hw...the rest sollys.
This was my first organized competition of any kind...and I really enjoyed it. We should get a few of the ones discussed here in the forums off the ground...would be fun. |

| No enemy spy ever lasts long when there's mic communication. There was 3 during Osaka, and the constant "spy solly low" and such totally kept our SGs up. |

Actually they don't. Only Osaka_l gave credit for capture points. I modified the other logs with the same trigger from the osaka logs to account for all caps. This was only six logs...so no biggie. Our server stats are roughly 340 to 380 logs per week.
No way I'm going through all of those... |
