dont know if many of you know there are other ways to get cd's, movies,tv shows you forgot to tape etc other then on morpheus, winmx, kazza etc....
Bit Torrent.... works like kazza morpheus and the rest except you need a program like bit tornado http://bittornado.com/... then in a search engine look up torrents like so
http://www.google.com/search?q=torr...-8&oe=utf-8
with torrents you arent really connecting to a server like kazza all you dl is the .torrent file (usually 40kb) it then asks what do you want to open the .torrent file with locate bit tornado or azureus (my fav.) http://azureus.sourceforge.net/
then it's all down hill from there...
more links to some good torrent sites:
http://www.suprnova.org/
dead
http://www.piratebay.net/frame.html
in german but you can make things out
http://www.tvtorrents.net/
miss your fav. show get them here
http://www.btefnet.com/
ditto from above
http://www.searchtorrent.com/
find any torrent you want
http://torrentbox.com
this is a little slow at the time of posting due to a server switch and the server needing an upgrade but this is my favorite!!! highly recommend
while doing this you may want to get another program one of the following will work
Peer Guardian
http://www.methlabs.org/
Protowall
http://www.bluetack.co.uk/modules.p...nload&cid=5
what these 2 things do is not allow certain known ip address get in on a torrent your downloading or seeding (seeding means after your done you allow others to get it from you) Known IP's it bans is say sony, riaa, etc
if you all would be intrested in this stuff and dont understand what to do etc hit me up with a PM...
all these sites also have some sweet programs i have downloaded free full version firewalls, autocad2004(enginerring program) DVD x-copy, video editing software etc...
enjoy!!!!

Yes the torrents are a good way to get stuff, although on some machines, (namingly mine) the default port for the torrents doesn't work. Despite this not working I still have found a few things to download successfully. The problem is finding the things you want with a lot of people sharing it, and unfortunately there aren't many people sharing. Supernova was the best site, and it's down now. Torrentbox seems like the next best bet imo. |

Yeah, it gets annoying when there's like 1 person seeding and 70 leeching. |

Torture....
The BitTorrent protocol can work behind firewalls, but unless your BitTorrent ports 6881-6889 are open, noone can connect to you. As a result, your downloads will probably be much slower. Do yourself a favor and open or forward ports 6881-6889 on your local firewall or router. Trust us, you'll appreciate the increased download speed! See this page for some more detailed discussion.

I got Postal 2 from some Swedish site called the Pirate's Cove or something... I forget the URL. But it didn't end up working. I'd install, it'd tell me to put CD in. And the cracker in it wouldn't work .

you could just use the UPnP BitTorrent no port forwarding needed, if you have a router supporting this fantastic technology |

There's always the more preffered, tried and true legal method. Got 45 bucks? Get the DVDs
Don't got 45 bucks? Only got 15 bucks? Get one DVD. They sell individually.
(If you only get one, get the third and final one. It has all the best eps imo) |

Everything is fixed and going well. I downloaded every zim episode as soon as they aired. There was this third party guy a long time ago that you could just download them off of his site. The downloads were painfully slow, but worth it because I had every single episode of the show years before the dvds were even conceived of. BTW, thanks insane. |

Kazaa works in a similar fashion. If you don't share, no one will share with you. Kazaa has a "rating system" that lets others know how much and how often you share. There are even hacks for this system...I've used them. |
