I'm trying to take a more serious approach to this map :p

Currently working on the entity system including timings, triggers, actions, effects, and so on. I will then complete the blue base design, copy it over, and convert it to red.

The sooner I get 2 models of chip bags, the sooner the map is released.

Okey, I will be looking for alpha testers very shortly, to test the system which controls the items, goals, timers, etc.

I will need a handful of people, let's say 5 or 6, including me, who:

follow instructions from me, to test out specific potential problems.
understand the map is no where near in it's complete state.
do not mess around when asked to do something.
under no circumstances will re-distribute this map in it's development / testing form to anyone without my express permission.
will not share the testing server password with non-testers.

For the Beta map, I will release it to the CFH community for a week or so.

Testing will be done over the next two weeks since I have loads of time to do it in. I'd like to communicate with testers through IRC or MSN-multiconvo though, to arrange things. The map will be tested on my home server (not up now, will be for testing) which is reecehome.homeip.net:27015 - password will be shared with testers only.

The item system seems to be working very nicely, the biggest part now is finishing the design of the base. Copying it over and replacing textures is piss easy.

The alpha test will be very soon.

It will consist of me monitoring the 4 testers specified in the post above, using the map, as you would normally.

Note: There is only part of the blue base done. There is NO red base, in the alpha, the red flag and capture point are in the tube that would split the base.

The test would be so I can see how the item management systems work in action with a few of you there. It will not test the design, or layout of the map. Tomorrow evening may be a good time Smile

I would like to talk to the 4 of you in real time to arrange this, I have a dedicated teamspeak server on 100mbps, if that is suitable enough, or we could use IRC / MSN-Multiconvo.

Item management... bleh

I need to find a way to return the flag if its tossed in an unaccessible place (ie, it falls in the lava in banana_r)

when it comes closer to the time it'd be great if i took part in the beta, depending on whether you held it before 6:00pm your time or i will be asleep :S

Okey, I have decided that the selected names above will be taking part in the Alpha testing. This will consist of testing the item management systems blah blah blah as I said before.

The beta map, which will have the finished design, I would like to release to the CFH community for a while. Let's say, 2 weeks. I would then like you all to post any **PROBLEMS** with the map in this topic, so I can fix it up for the final release to the entire world.

Ok, I can safely say the map is ready to alpha test, but we need to gather up and arrange a time.
