I hope that this starts to help some people aknowledge that our country is not as racist as some would like to believe.
With democrats having president, senate, and house, it will be interesting to see how things turn out. |

THIS is not a good situation.
One political party having complete control, can't be good. Checks and balances are what our system is all about. Greater majorities in both the senate and house will pretty much ensure that no one has a voice unless you're a democrat. I don't like it one bit.
If things go bad, it will go bad for four years until another vote could balance things out. No political party should have the overwhelming majority that the democrats will now have. |

Chips brings up a very good point. However, I'm optomistic about it all. I think and hope he'll do a good job, but I don't think that since he's the new president he's gonna instantly fix everything, and it will just magically be okay, like some people seem to think. What ever he does, it's gonna take time, and since our country is in such a bad shape, it may take a while before we're actually able to make steps towards it getting better.
Although, not getting worse is, in it's own way, a way of getting better. |

Just wait until the first serious assassination attempt is made on Obama or there is a reprisal attack on African Americans. There have already been a few people caught, it could just be the tip of the iceberg. |

and i hope to live see racist removed complety
