he is hurting them...he went through this "heart-felt" retirement speech and then he jerks everyone around again...enough is enough.

Also, you don't kno how Rodgers is gonna do, no one knos. Odds are yes he won't do better than Favre did last season, but like i said, no one really knos. I mean how would you feel if you drafted someone as high as they did w/ Rodgers and then this year they drafted another solid college QB. They planned on moving on w/ these picks and now ya have Favre wanting to get back in again and it's like they wasted these draft picks. He's acting selfish, plain and simple.

Trade him away to get those picks back or even worse lol, trade him to a franchise who has a franchise QB like Brady of the Patriots or Manning of the Colts and let him hold the clipboard ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!

He asked for release and they didn't give it to him, they obviously know that he is going to produce better than Rodgers, or they would give him his release.

No, the reason they won't release Favre is because they don't want one of the teams in their division who has crappy QBs picking him up (Bears/Vikings).

Yeah Favre is still good, but that doesn't mean the Pack should automatically keep him and start him. They've been planning a post-Favre era and Favre keeps messing around w/ it. I kno the goal of every team is to win the SB and Favre does give them the best chance, but this whole situation when taking everything into account is complicated and i dont think you really understand that AB. Like for example, would you wanna build your franchise around a player who you don't kno is gonna play from season to season? I wouldn't. If ya wanna win now and make this year the year, then keep Favre. If ya wanna build a strong core and have a good team for the next 5 seasons say, then ya gotta get rid of him. Now, they did have him last season and he did great, but did they win the SB? No they didn't.

I understand what you're saying. But they built their whole modern franchise around Favre, and to get rid of him is too costly imo. I understand that they are trying to move on, but at the same time, they're still stuck with Favre because he is better than Rodgers ever will be.

Well Favre was traded to Jets for a conditional draft pick. Also, because of that Chad Pennington was released. Bears or Vikes should pick him up.

I really cant wait to see how Rodgers does as the Pack's QB. All eyes are gonna be on him and i actually feel bad for him because of that. Everyone is gonna be expecting alot outta him. Packers have to make the playoffs this season or else the GM, coach, etc...will be hearing alot of s**t next season.

The way I saw the whole 'dilema', if you want to call it that, is from the management side. They sort of have to look at his track record, and from what little I can tell it seems that he's done this sort of thing before, just not on such a grand scale. They must be thinking about how many seasons he really DOES have left, and if it's worth it to the franchise to keep him around. While I agree that Brett is the man, he created this drama himself, and I personally am sick of hearing about it. I don't think he has it in him to get Green Bay to a Super Bowl. I guess there was a press release by favre saying the packers don't want him, and he doesn't want the packers, or something to that affect. But from a fan point of view, I would still love to see Favre on the field again, and only for green bay.

I really really wish the Packs played the Jets, cause Brett would sh*t all over the Packers for trading him. The only problem Brett is going to have is getting used to the different office, other than that he's golden. Jets and Packs receivers are basically the same in terms of stats, and both have a RB that will produce. I really wish I could see the two face off.

As for the whole dilemma, well the Packers got screwed because the Jets won't go to the Super Bowl, so the most they will get is a 2nd round pick for the best QB statistically in NFL history. Bad bad trade in my opinion.

But I will do my best to watch whatever I can. I'm super excited though; should be a good year.

T.O. catches his first TD of the season and already he was off to his stupid f***ing antics...sigh, gonna be a long season w/ him. Anyway i expected better O from the Browns but Edwards played like crap and Lewis couldn't run much at all. Rookie Felix Jones looked good though in the end for Dallas, nice start for the Boys.

Week 1 so far: Bills shocked me w/ how badly they beat Seattle, Falcons nice win, Jville was disappointing (injuries), Pats...Brady goes down and they dont score much, Chargers had a tough loss in the end there, and Philly's D looked good against the Rams.

The Football Gods had their way with injuries this week. Burleson and Brady out for the season. Colts were god awful, Hawks were god awful, Rams were god awful, Pats were not up to par even w/o Brady. Panthers with the stunner against San Diego, probably my highlight of the week. I was impressed with the Eagles, Jets, Dolphins, and Titans though. Sucks about Vince Young, but the MRI came back negative so that's positive news.

And my Hawks? We are royally ****ed. We don't got Burleson or Branch. Morris is out till the bye week, as is Engram. Payne, Kent, and Courtney are terrible and I heard Holmgren isn't looking to sign anybody, but rather move Seneca Wallace to WR. Holmgren's last year is off to an awful start...
