My best guess would be that it would be more costly to repair the ram rather than just replacing it. Having just bought new ram, you are best able to make that decision costwise. |

I agree with Chips.....ram is so inexpensive (as compared to years ago) and quite honestly, Ive never heard of someone that actually 'repairs' it. |

Memory is a "solid state" device, meaing the electrons move through pre-defined pathways - no moving parts. If those pathways are damaged, altered, etc. you're beat. There is nothing to repair.
If I were on The Price Is Right
and was playing the Higher/Lower game
and your 256MB mem stick from France was the item
and the price listed was $20
and I guessed "lower"
and I lost
I'd beat the snot out of Bob Barker with his long arse microphone.
Jum, you do blunt well, you can handle this. Get over it please and end this thread. The elders have spoken. |

Uh, ok? I have no idea how being blunt even remotely fits in with anything, or what I need to "get over."
Incidently, I'm Canadian, not French. |

The dangers of non-verbal communication, sorry.
I meant get over the memory, it's shot.
Correct, you are from Canada.
You described your memory as having French writing all over it . . . cha! |
