OK i have a new comp..I moved over my halflife folder containing all the TFC files and mods I had DLed onto this new harddrive but being the dumb@$$ I am I forgot to move over the TFC.exe and cant locate an .exe in the files i moved..so I tried to install TFC on the comp but it gives me an error during setup..."wrong language for your version of halflife" WTF does that mean?! Is it simply that i need to install halflife before I try to install the tfc mod???? help I wanna play!!!!! |

This probably is not be the most effective way, but I think it's a surefire way.
- Delete the team fortress classic directory in your Steam directory.
- Start up Steam and have it DL TFC from scratch. (it should automatically install half-life if you need it)
- Once it finishes, copy over all of your custom stuff. |

I belive you do have to have it installed before tfc but Im not 100% sure of this I could be wrong. DA's way is your best bet. Just have it GL over night as you sleep

Move your entire "Steam" folder over to your new machine...presto...all should work. |

copy/cut your /steamapps/[emailaddy]/whatever//tfc folder to somewhere else. do verify steamcache on your tfc game. do install on it and it should regenerate most of it from the steamcache ".gcf" file.
move your tfc folder bak into steamapps/whatever/whatever/ |

Just network the two machines together...by USB if you have to. Transfer anything you need...whallah. |
