if you're spending that kind of money, i'd give in and buy an extra 2 gig of ram to fill the slots Razz nice rig.

edit: i suggest you buy a sound card that isn't in the mobo. you can buy a good sound blaster 24 bit for only 30 bucks.

Wow, nice build, Toughie.

As for me, it's the waiting game. I HATE waiting for it to arrive. I can't wait.

Yah, waiting is the hardest part.
I like the set up, but I would seriously get a soundcard, preferably X-Fi if you can.
I would also consider changing the PSU to a larger wattage. When Dx10 starts rolling out, people are gonna make parts that require LARGE amounts of energy. It's all about expandablility.
BFG RULES! I would strongly reccomend buying from them. If for some reason, god forbid, you won't, get one from eVGA. I buy from them because their more reputable, I guess.

Ans why dont you take that money and use it as a down payment on a house? beacuse tha whole rig will proably break the 2-3 grand make easily. lol

I mean 4 150 GB raptor 10,000 SATA drives alone is roughly $800

Shocked Very Happy

WTF kind of hopusing do you have in Boston where $2-3 K could be a down payment? Laughing Laughing Laughing I mean geez, the mean average here in my town is $400K and for that, you need to put some TLC into it. You want a house completely done and maintence free, be ready to shell out $600K Surprised

ditto. A house usually goes for a good $_ _ _K over here.
$2-3k is a downpayment for a nice car or something.

But Dude! 4 150gb Raptors? that's 600gb of superfast space. What will you be doing?
If you won't be using one, can I have it? Very Happy

Yea, I broke 3k. Though, my total order; which includes parts for a 2nd, less powerful computer, with some miscellaneous accessories and other electronic gadgets; comes out to 6.8k...
