It's been a rough few months. Things are getting rolling again, because I am finally starting to take control of things again.

It's been long enough since I've been on here, that I don't even remember if I told everyone what all happened.

Short version: My wife died from ovarian cancer a little over 2 months ago. I've been battling depression, working my ass off trying to keep my house, and on top of that, trying to get promotional work on my book going again. I've been working long hours at my day job, plus coming home and getting to work around the house. I have very little time to get on the net for "funtime"...so that's why I haven't been around.

But, I'm back. Here to annoy one and all. Very Happy

I still don't have much "me" time, but I'm getting a little more of it.

I've actually been doing pretty good with the depression thing...all things considered. It did come back yesterday, though...and pretty damned hard. I was a time-bomb just looking for someone to go off on. Fortunately, nothing bad happened, and it wasn't as bad today. I got off work yesterday, dropped my step-son off at his house(we work together), came straight home and stayed there and "self-medicated". That's not something I recommend, but it works for me.

I'm going to "self medicate" again tonight...since there are still traces of the problem.

Don't worry, though, I'll be fine. I haven't had to do it for a few weeks.

I did get a couple of new tattoo's, and I have pictures of all 4(along with the stories behind them) on MySpace. I'll see if I can drop links to the pics on here, although, I need to take a new pic of one of them....there is a glare on the original.

All of my ink has a story behind it...and I'm currently thinking about having Miami Ink(Kat, particularly) do a portrait tattoo on my chest of Rose...with "Liebe Für Immer"(Love Forever) above her face, and "August 12, 2006" below it(the date we got married). I'm really anal about who does this one...I'm taking NO chances on it getting screwed up. I've seen Kats work, and I think she can do it.

You know what? I'm gonna go take a shower, and get a better pic of that new one. I'll post links in a little while.

Glad things are starting to fall in place for you d00d. I imagine it's rough going through what you've been through the past few months. I hope you find the strength to get on with it...life that is. Good Idea

But I'd drop that doc of yours
I don't think he got his Rx right for your Self-Medication.

BTW, hows that book of yours coming?

I really don't need to change my doctor, though...I just got a new one, and I really like her. No, not THAT kind of like.... Razz

But she is willing to toss me what I needed, when I needed it. I'm not doing anti-depressants, because I know how addictive they are. I really don't need to self medicate often...but I'm glad that I can when I do need to. I know people who go with the anti-depressant pills...and they are a royal pain to deal with when they forget to take the stuff. I'll stick with my way...it works for me.

I've added a lot of new friends to my myspace account, and hopefully some of them will check out the book and want a copy. I've still got 40 copies sitting here, looking for homes. I know it's not for everyone...but so far, everyone has loved it.

I'm also working on another new book...about Rose and I. How we met, fell in love, dealt with the cancer, and how I deal with losing her. It sometimes hurts to write it, but it helps me to cope.

Can you send me one of those stray copies?
I'd like some good reading material.

Thanks again, guys! I'll admit, that the worst isn't over with yet...I've had a rough couple of days. I guess it's going to be a battle for the rest of my life. Mad
