Aud makes a good point (I find that strange actually ) in that it's the political appointees that pretty much run Washington and therefore, the rest of our country. Presidents come and go...the appointees live on. Bush actually still has over 100 appointees waiting to be approved...fat chance that will happen before he leaves office.
Still, when it comes right down to it, I don't feel this country is ready for either a female or african american president...even though I'd prefer Hillary out of these two. McCain will win when it comes right down to it...for our nations fears outweigh their brains...always have. |

I have always considered myself to lean to the right, but this election I am in a strange bind. Bush basically raped Republicans for their basic ideals: Small government and less spending. I said I lean right because I do have liberal views like being pro-choice, gay marriage (no one has convinced me to not allow them to marry) and drug legalization.
McCain has the polar opposite views compared to me. He is more of a social conservative and a liberal economist. What it really boils down to is who is the last two standing (my bets on Bama and THE CAIN) and honestly, I’m not sure who to vote for. The only reason I would want to see Hillary in office is to have her really mess everything up so the people welcome Republicans with open arms to rule them like a king.
Oh, and the Christian Conservatives and "Family Values" people can blow me. Quit telling people how they should lived based on a religion (Hey 1st amendment!!) or your personal values. |

This is precisely the reason I want Obama, or a disaster like Paul/Huckabee, so the Democratic party is more loved/Republican party is more disliked, and this country takes a strong swing to the left. |
