| get the real video card driver, not the one built in to windws, that one is just for compatibility and doesnt have support for full graphics capability. |

no man, honestly it ISNT that bad as a ping.... however, thats the ping i was getting when i wasnt moving and i was sitting in the respawn. just opening the doors to the respawn has shot it up to 600 in the past, depending if theres anyone right out infront of the spawn... so basically its not a bad ping to play with, but its not the normal ping i have.
im gonna try to find any extra drivers and/or i might just get a new video card... mines from like 2000... so i could def use a better one.. i know theres been tons of topics bout them before but im on short time atm so i dont feel like lookin for them, any suggestions for what i should get? |

depends what price range your looking at. All i know about are NVIDIA graphics cards (what i've always used). For other... you might wanna ask someone else).
if your lookin 30-40(uh...) GeForce 5200 ain't half bad... thats what i used for a while, it was good enough just don't expect constant 60 fps.
If your lookin 40-50-60 $ range... the GeForce 6200 ain't that bad either.
One of the better graphic's cards that will keep you up to date for a while, is the GeForce 6800... but thats around $100. |

How about doing a speed test or a line test located
HERE?
Then you would know if it's your internet connection speed or your pc. 
Another way I tell if think my isp is acting up is to ping it (the server ip)
Go to:
start
run
type in cmd - hit enter
type in the black dos box: ping 67.15.209.16
If the last line - average =
is low.. then I know it's my in game/steam rates.

| sounds to me more like faulty hardware. definatly get a new vid card. ATI has a cheap 256 RADEON out (130$ i beleive) that could do you for a few more years. (or now that God is out, maybe a few more minutes) |

KK guys and girls, Kyubi is back!! i buffed up my comp so much and it was all worth it! i reformatted my comp so its completely clean, i got a 1gb memory stick so now i have 1.5 ram, and got a radeon 1300 vid card.. much better than my old Rage 2000  i didnt feel like spending $400 quite yet for a really really good one... ill just wait a couple years when this one becomes obsolete and i am makin enough money to easily buy it. i just played a lil bit in 2fort, had a ping of 37 at the lowest and it was pretty steady even with bots. my C drive was faulty, among with other things that i fixed... but i think im about to come in the posession of a 200g hard drive... that will replace my nice old 60gb hardrive
