I hope they make the voice comm dynamic, as those modles look like they have a lot more of a persona.

I agree with Aud. TF2 would have been the same crappy graphics we have now but with different characters, maps, and weapons. Don't get me wrong I love TFC, but TF2 wouldn't have been much different. This new thing they've said they will release, is going to be alot better than any of us hoped. FF is TFC with source implanted into it. Valve's TF2 is going to be something none of us expected. And like Aud said, we can all play what ever game we like more.

I'll end up playing both definately, but I probably will end up playing FF more than TF2, also gotta wonder how good portal will be...

I absolutly hate those new models and the look of TF2. How can you not say they are to cartoony? It looks like they tosses the movie The Incredibles and that movie small soldiers into a blender and that is what came out. The only saving grace that game has is the game play IMO. The game play has to be insane or that title is going to loss its appeal real fast.

It seams to me that nowadays all games have to have some kind of off the wall graffics with flashy characters to be a hit and they dont focus on the most important thing in the game ACTUALLY PLAYING IT! A good majority of people that play TFc dont play it for the graffics they play it for the strategy and the game play itself. FF is on the right track with this. FF has a more gritty feel to it and in this they are keeping with the spirt of the original TFC. While i have not seen actually game play or actual in game screen shots of TF2 I can say that I will most likely be playing FF as it has more of what i want in a TFC mod on the HL2 engine.

side note: If you look at the demo man he is the only one not holding his signature weapon that he uses in game. I mean what is he going to do throw bundles of TNT at you? Question

Anyways, I read that Valve wanted to make TF2 "Iconic", where the game is really "Something Else" graphics-wise. That's why they made it look like the missing cast of Toy Story (but that movie was cool).

What I want to see is the comparisons of their fanbases when FF and TF2 come out.
Who will be better, the 3rd-party mod that is earlier and won't look like a Pixar Movie,
Or the Valve release that has their Tech-guys working professionally, that will nake a new look for TFC itself.

BTW: I wonder who will come first. My money's on FF Good Idea

TF2 will come before FF imo. I can't say which will be better though.

But damnit, I want a gameplay trailer, something we can actually make a fair judgement of the game with.

(nvm, apparently that is pretty much gameplay, it was all made with the source engine, at least. quote from valve: All the footage shown in this trailer was created using Source. Some of the effects, namely depth of field and motion blur, were applied via post-processing features built into the Source engine technology.)

yeah it wasnt supposed to be released yet, but apparently someone guessed the link sometime this morning. i guess valve got wind of it and took the link down. but yeah the youtube one is the same thing.
