I am a member of .id and there we can connect to IRC channels and see any ingame chat....Do we have that ability here? If so what is the connection adress?
Thanks

I too am a member of .id ... and their IRC set-up is quite nice and unique. The only capability we have is to spew ANYTHING from the servers console to any channel window we choose. I've only done that a few times...it's quite the spammer.
We could possibly, some day, look into a more integrated IRC set-up ... but I certainly don't have the knowledge to do it. |

Well then about every 30 minutes you'd get a bunch of gg's and stuff if the ingame chat was routed into irc..... |

Back when I had a server 30 years ago, I made a small program to do this. It would just check the last 20 lines of the server log file every 2 seconds, pull out player to team info and store in a database, pull out chat and store in a small database, then post into IRC as red or blue depending on team (this was before the days of spectators). Another part of the program just hovers on a TCP socket, replying to Ping's and reconnecting on IRC server outages. Never finished it, but there were plans to make it so anyone that chatted in the chat room would appear as "rcon say" style speak. Never really figured out how to do that part. The IRC room would of course be moderated, only +v people could say something.
I have no earthly idea where the program is now. If no one finds something on the internet, I can see if I still know how to code. Plenty of free time next week, if I get something done i'll post here. |

More like end of 99 to beginning of 2001. First years of college. But, close to 30 years ago.
I am actaully going to try to do this half and half with AdminMod. Make a plug-in or something. Mostly C code, lots of other plugins out there to use as refference material. |

Either I missed something...or I missed something...or I missed something. But I'm starting to worry about your math skills. |

Is this similiar to the HLSW mirc bot tab (check box - show chat or show team chat)? |
