Okay, here's the update. I went to the clerk at traffic court today. They confirmed that I do have two outstnading citations w/ other pending late fees. I have court on July 10th. Hooray I don't have to spend my b-day in jail. Now it's just the waiting game until then.
Thanks for the support y'all.
BTW, I'm bringing powdered soap w/me if I do end up going to jail... Takes longer to pick up.  |

| i don't think you can go to jail for not paying the fine. I got a community services work for 3 months. All that for speeding tickets WTF! ONly way you can go to jail is if you drive witout a license. |

Let's all hope for community service for Nuck. 
Not only is it a good alternative to prison, but I bet something like community service looks good on a resume. |

| I don't have to go to jail. I could just pay the fines, if I had the money. Since I don't have the money, I 'm volunteering to do the time if needed. Time is the only thing I have right now. These tickets are from here in San Jose (Northern Cali)--I live in San Diego (Southern Cali)--bout 500 miles away, so community service isn't the smartest idea for me. I figure that doin the time would be wiser since I'm not spending any money, not being a burden to my friends or family, and it will all be done as quickly as possible. I've been aboard a naval ship for 4 months (2 times at 2 months at a time,). Being that it should be short time (less than 3 months, I hope) they will send me to county jail--not federal prison--BIG DIFFERENCE! |

you still doing time by doing communitty service. but you get to be at home and go out still. its better than be in a cell...

There's a big difference from being on a naval ship and being in jail. I still don't see how doing community service would be a bad idea. But it's your choice. Come back in one piece!
