For the next couple of days...the TFCTEch Mod has been enabled on the server. For those of you who've never seen it...get on and give it a go.
Lots of fun...strange fun at that. Your team votes for different "technologies" throughout the round...from "sticky pipes" to "movable sg's". Many, many more to choose from. Your team gets the technology that gets the most votes...so talk to your teammates and choose wisely.
This will go right up through the Championship Match for our STA 5v5 team on Tuesday night...enjoy.  |

| While cute to play with (I love the fast HW with adriniline burst .... the person you are strafing can't even keep up turning to see you) , it can get rather annoying on certain maps or if used all the time. Can it be enabled and disabled like hooks for certain maps? Like the plain ole 2fort and well and rock2 maps. Leave Ksour and haste and beayux the old way? |

Unfortunately...no. About a year ago, I was chatting with the guy who made it and mentioned that same concern...I'd like the ability to turn it off for certain maps. He said he was going to do some updating to it...but never did.
Agreed, this is good fun...occasionally. Two days of this should be enough to have some fun...and not get overly bored, annoyed by it.
It's for the celebration of our server's 2nd bday...after that, it'll be off. Get on there and try it while you can.  |

We had a riot with it last night...strong blue pipes and sticky pipes at the same time = demo's dream.
We kept sticking pipes to our players and sending them off on suicide runs...was a blast...literally. |

It was awesome on dustbowl. The offense got fast scouts. Completely took our defense by surprised, and we got our quad GL defense taken completely off guard.
Explosive implants on avanti were the best, though. Kept on going on suicide runs as pyro to knock out the entire defense. |

Peeps have always complained about the "strong blue pipes" on dustbowl...it's almost impossible to get out the door on cap 3. Fast scouts is the answer.
As I said previously...talk with your teammates and "choose wisely".  |

wow...awesome...fast firing hw's so more o hw's.....railgun shockwaves so o engy's with no sg's.....all that added up with some other pathetic choices, all of which are lame, plus end of the round spam makes the server a very unenjoyable place. 
i'm all for fun and celebration and what not..but come on..... |
