What's shakin -[CfH]-,
I just started gaming again after about a 2 year break. I've been playing on your server recently as [CK]DogMode and am having a great time, way to run a server guys!
My name is Adam McGary. I'm 20 years old and live in Dallas, Texas. I've been gaming for as long as I can remember. My Dad is a software/hardware engineer and got me into gaming at a very early age with Rise of the Triad (Hence my name: DogMode. Gotta stick to my roots!). My most vivid memories of gaming however come from Quake and original Team Fortress. I remember my Dad and I celebrating the release of OpenGL with a weekend long LAN party playing TF and Jail Break. It was oldschool, but oh so fun.
As I got older I stayed true to ID and played QuakeIII DM and Freeze Tag religeously and my friends and I started an Urban Terror Clan: Clan Kikkoman [CK]. I played solo in quite a few Q3 competitions, but began focusing more on the Clan play and more tactical/realistic games.
Clan Kikkoman was shifted from UrT to BF Vietnam and CS 1.5, playing the majority of our matches in BF Vietnam. We spent most of our time on Black Plague's server if anyone here is a BF fan. Rather than building our own computers to play the newer/more demanding games, our clan became regulars at a local Game Wyze. We were there so often that they just stopped charging us for use of their computers, however with 2004 came new management for Game Wyze and disagreements within our clan. Early 2004 Clan Kikkoman disbanded and we all went our separate ways.
1 member joined another clan, but the rest of them got into WoW, and I started playing FFXI. I've played for about 2 years, but just recently realised that I needed to get back into REAL gaming. I bought myself a copy of Quake 3 and Halflife Anthologies...and a shiny x800gto. I can't believe I ever quit. It feels so good to Gib again...
Clan Kikkoman is hibernating right now, but after talking to 3 of the original members, I think we will make a come back. We have our eyes on TFC, BF2, and UrT 3.7. So keep an eye out for: [CK]JoJoBean, [CK]Titan, or [CK]FireDog. I told them about this great server and they'll be joining in shortly.
Once again, thanks for hosting such a great TFC server. I'll see you when I get off work. lol
