It's Q3F (Quake 3 Fortress) on the enemy territory engine.

Enemy territory (Wolfenstein online shooter) is a free download, and this mod is free as well.

Warning: It's not much like TFC. Scout has no caltrops, he has flashbangs. If you get conced your crosshair spirals like normal, but it affects the direction you move in. HHing seems harder, too. Also, if a teammates conc goes off near you, you are affected.

It comes with a good amount of maps, some classics like well, openfire, 2fort, as well as some originals. I reccomend you check it out.

Getting Enemy Territory, the 1.02 patch, and this mod is roughly 750 megs of space, so it's nothing to worry about. Looks purty too. This (and TFC, of course) should hold us over untill Fortress Forever / TFC:S

I'm downloading it now. Read that there's quite a few fixes already planned for the patch that's coming. I guess it's still playable though.

Can you run a server from these downloads...like from the game menu? Or is there a separate server install...I didn't see one. Question

Wow...quite disappointed with this to be honest. Maybe I have to give it some more playing time...but I truly didn't like it from the beginning.

It installed quite easily. Hopped onto a server playing well; I figured I'd at least know the layout. It played smooth (I went with the high graphics), but I thought the player models were very weak, movement was very quick...hard as hell to hit anything.

I may give it another try...but I give it a big thumbs down... Crying or Very sad

I had to work with the mouse sensitivity. Seems they upped everything, kickbacks, gren power, rocket speed and explosive force, movement speed, size of maps(heck, 2fort is ~150% it's normal size) and the mouse sensitivity. It seems that on 4 I get the same movement I get at 12 on TFC. So my first impression was the same as yours chips, but within a few hours I was lovin it. My first introduction to a 3D FPS was Quake3 DM, so it brings back good memories.

Yeah...first thing I noticed I had to do was adjust the mouse sensitivity. Even after cranking it up substantially...it didn't feel right (I use 14 in TFC).

The one map I played, Well, did seem much bigger than the original...making it all the more difficult to hit anyone. I tried a few classes, but didn't get a good feel for any of them.

I'll give it another chance after tweaking some stuff...and see if the disappointment is still there.

The water effects suck, AND THIS A DX8 GAME WTF.
But Alas, this is only version 1, hopefully they get more versions out (YOU SEE THAT VALVE, SOME DEVS ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT THEIR WORK)

I did have to crank up the sensitivity to 12 just to match the effect of 9 (what I use)
Sniping is too overpowered
RPGing is hard to aim
Medic nailgun is too overpowered
Every server iwent to had FF on it, wtf.

I didn't care for it too much, like you guy said, movement is too fast for my liking.. I'm used to HL and HL2, but hey this might get some Q3 fans into TF/TFC... which is a, good thing?

Well, they updated, and sniper isn't nearly as powerful/easy to aim with.

I'm still bugged by the fact that you cant stop reloading to shoot.

i'd prefer normal quake3 or normal tfc to this really.

I still recommend everyong gives wolfenstein enemy territory a go as it is very cool.

I personally loved the game but punkbuster didnt agree with me so i had to give it up. i do dislike how the sniper is overpowered tho. i think with out the sniper the game is really balanced last time i played it which was a few months ago there wasnt an overpowering class (like lots of soldiers or somethin like that).

Then mines skrewy, I had to turn it down to 4 to match a setting of 12 in TFC...

BTW I have a few map waypoints completed, if any of you find a map with out waypoints that you really like just post a link to the map here and I will take a look at it, and e-mail the way points to you. I will also post them at http://www.waypoint-world.com, however the site is down atm.

I gave up on this mod...simply don't like it. The others I'm playing now blow this one away.
