#2 i dont have photoshop, not very trusting of bittorrent and im not gonna buy it
#3 all i want to do is: make certain dl'ed models transparent, the weapon model not the arm(as in the progression avi, the super shoty model) and team colored

is it possible that i can do this? and cn anybody help me? Question

get jeds half life model viewer
http://www.wunderboy.org/apps/jhlmv.php.
open it up choose a model, than go to textures, each texture you want transparent just click the additive and make sure its checked, after you do all the textures save it on the model you opend. sory i did not feel like being very descriptive.

milkshape. never used it, but I hear it's pretty good. For everything from Q1 to HL2!

MilkShape 3d version 1.7.7a:
http://www.chumba.ch/chumbalum-soft/files/ms3d177a.zip

or try:

HL Model Viewer version 1.2.5
http://www.swissquake.ch/chumbalum-soft/files/hlmv125.zip

I know the last one says quake, however it is a link to an HL only version of milkshape.

This link is for the page above the last one. It has some info you could use:

nirv: reinstalled and tried multiple times, doesnt work..tried the shortcut on the desktop, and in the start menu, neither work

spider: i got MS3d and HLMV, just dont have a clue as to how to use either

i really dont want anything too complex, just transparency of the weapon and not the visible arm

do the same thing i told you to do with jeds but do it with HLMV, just additive all the textures, and save it on the same model you opend it as.
