Thats why I posted it all....2 hard drives. I dont believe in more then 20 gig partitions. I have them all labeled for what they are used for......G: is music, H: is Steam, E: is Downloads, Backup, BF2, DVD Files, etc etc...you get my drift.
C: drive is strictly for Winblows, D: is strictly system info, like anti virus and Microsoft Office...... crap like that.
Having lost many a hard drive in my day, I would much rather have things where I know they are and belong then one huge drive where a single virus takes out everything.....and at the same time, I dont like scrolling thru my Wnblows Explorer to find stuff.

Sorry for the confusion Spidey. Very Happy

My thoughts exactly Toughy Very Happy

One partition is strictly for the OS...nothing else. Actually...my C partition is for WIN 98SE and D is for Win XP Pro. Games are on their own partition as are video files I work on.

If you ever go down to a virus...just reinstall the OS and your other files will be safe and untouched where they are. You still may have to reinstall some games and such to rebuild your registry...but no files will actually be lost or corrupted.

wow...this is somewhat embarrasing, I have 4 computers in my house...but the one I usually use for HL1 (TFC) is this:

PII 400
256mb sdram
10gig HD (quantum)
32mb viper tnt2 ultra (vid card)
win 2000

HL1 doesn't have big requirements.....so I have it on a crappy machine.
