The culprit: pcfitness
STEAMID: i honestly have no idea how you obtain this, but im hoping that with a server full of mostly cfh'ers that someone got it.
Time: A little after midnight EST on Friday night
Map: Monkey_l

The Crime: This guy was definitely using some type of speed hack. He would approach me at normal speed but as soon as he got near the flag he turned something on and practically vanished before my eyes, with the flag. The first time this happened I assumed it was just some of that bot lag we're all used to seeing, but after saying something about it he had a strange response, first saying he got the flag and then suggesting afterwards that it was a bot. He pulled the same trick a second time in front of me and a couple other people, and then it was very obvious what was going on. There were at least 3 admins present, but two were on the opposing team and the third did not seem to be in the vicinity of this when it happened. After the second time and all the complaints, he seemed to stop doing it as some people went to spec him.

The Witnesses: Fly and Bonereaper saw him in the act, and then Kibbles and tiger spec'ed after the fact and suggested he may be using a wall hack as well, saying that he seemed to know where people were at all times.

The Proof: I have all of this on demo from my perspective, and by the second time you see it it's pretty damn obvious. If someone can direct me to a free site where I can post this I'd be happy to do it. Problem is it doesn't occur until eight and a half minutes into the demo, so you'd have to sit through a pretty boring and crappy demo of me till then. Or am I supposed to send this to one of the admins somehow? I don't know what the procedure is on this and what to do with the demo? I'm usually pretty tolerant when lame s**t happens on the server but I think this is pretty important since it occured in the presence of multiple admins, and we had a nice shutout going until the hacks came in. And for anyone that downloads it, here's a brief timeline of what happens...

1min30sec: pcfitness joins the server

8min30sec: pcfitness comes into the flagroom from the right as a spy disguised as soldier, moving at normal speed until right before reaching the flag, then his speed changes drastically and he is out of the flagroom with the flag before i can even det my pipes.

10min15sec: pcfitness does the same thing, this time grabbing the flag near the bottom respawn and is out of there in a flash, and the flag is capped very soon after. i am not the only one who notices this happen this time...

....after this and a couple of people talking about what's going on he seems to stop the speedhacking. just read some of the things he says too and it becomes more obvious...

Sorry to make everyone have to sit through a long demo just to see a couple minutes of this guy. I guess I could try to run the demo through Fraps and make it into a shorter video...but its late and im tired and off to bed now. G'night. Smile

well after seeing your perspective I know he had wallhacks with how he was staring right at you when he killed you..

meh, if i had bothered to record you could watch about 2 seconds of my demo and realize that he was speedhacking =/

just watched the demo, please ban him, he was speedhacking. he tried to cover it up, and he said "damn that bot is fast" when it was him. also he got the flag and capped it ass spy in a matter of seconds.

I haven't seen the demo yet...but it sounds like this guy won't make it through the night.

BTW...you can "viewdemo" and use controls like a vcr to watch your demo. You can move to the point you want to see so you don't have to wait till it comes up. The only bad part is in game sound can be bad.

this is the first demo i ever watched that had the voice com, and good sound.

I watched the demo and its pretty clear to me. Speedhacks were involved. Next time I am on the server he will be added to the ban list. Good Idea

nirvana you probably used Playdemo, instead of Viewdemo.

He meant,

"Ban this bundle of sticks"
