i'm not usre how it's setup but is there any way to choose which map is #1 through #5 or not?

cuz some maps win votes because alot of people just hit 1 to get rid of it

i.e. tonight skayoo_b3 won, and spiderman was saying "does anybody know how to play it?" nobody answered, i didnt sit through a 3 min dl for the overview, and chips said he played it and didn't like it

all i'm wonderin is: how does the map vote work? Question

the mapvote plugin should be modified so that "1" isnt an option, instead of 1 to 5, make it 2 to 6 Razz

3 gets my vote more often than 1. The map selection almost always occurs when I'm trying to weapon swap. (I swap weapons a lot)
Options 5-9 + 0 would make things a lot better than just getting rid of 1.

If that's possible, I'd love that too. I vote for #3 more often than I'd like to.

There IS a sound that plays when the vote comes up...and use your mousewheel to switch weapons. Razz

I still am looking at that other plug-in we had for a few days. Gonna test some things to get it working correctly. It will STILL give a randon vote anyway. We have a good collection of maps on the server...it's nice sometimes to play an obscure map. I truly believe if nominations were possible...we'd play the same maps over and over again.

We'll some day get something that everyone likes. Good Idea

Chips, can there be a bigger random selection, like 7 to 10 maps?

Skayoo is a kool, if larger map. IT is ment for 20+ people. It can be a lot of fun if you know what you are doing and once you know the layout of the map. The server crashed on it cuz I showed you all a secret on it which played a HUGE .wav file. Normal play would not crash the server.

Quick Overview: Go to the enemy base and find the enemy source code ( a couple CD's), steal it, and cap it where your source code is.

In the same room you will find an access card. Take the enemy access card to the enemy base ment and walk in front of one of the 7 computers to "hack" something.

The 7 things are: 1)hack the enemy doors for use by your team, 2)hack the enemies lasers so you can go through them instead, 3)hack the enemy "stank"(a poisoin gas) so it hurts them and not you, 4)open up teleporters for your respawn to the enemy base, 5)close the enemies battlement windows, 6)remove the enemies respawn packs, and 7)move the enemy respawn to the yard.

Take the "boot disk" which you find in your respawn to your basement to fix these things. Never Ever, and I repeat, NEVER let the enemy get your "boot disk", or they can do so crazy $&!^ with it, like crash the server, cuz Chips server computer can't handle it.

My problem is that....well......I have keys 3-0 bound to something. My choice for maps is limited to 1 and 2.

I hit 3 most because thats my super shotty, mousewheel is still bound to +jump Razz

the every thing else is used more in my nine keys "qwe asd zxc"

My mousewheel "down" is bound to +jump...mousewheel "up" is still bound to weapons switching. Good Idea

I bound them both at one time, made it almost a little easier but now I use space agian Razz

I dunno if this is NS only or amx only, but playing on amx ran NS servers, they have this vote plugin that give you a large list of maps, and then the two highest voted for get voted for on a second vote
