I sent this "person" a pm a few hours ago asking who he/she is and what's up. If I get no reasonable response by later this evening...yes, that account will be banned.
We are becoming a larger, better know community. Unfortunately, what comes with that is things like this...and worse, hacks to the site and servers. I do backup the forums database each evening...I hope I'll never have to use it.  |

domain owner info can be looked up on those sites at www.dnsstuff.com and a owner/sales/contact/abuse email usually gotten from it and they can be notified/warned.
wether or not its them/friend/affiliate that makes the names on here, they will know that someone has noticed them negatively and maybe get a clue that they should move on to a respectable job rather than be internet scum. |

There are mods to phpbb's software which can prevent users like these from registering. You should look into installing one.
This one prevents people who are using proxy servers from registering:
