imo... vent/ts > skype in alot of situations. skype is useful for more private things though. |

The only "good" thing about Vent/TS is that it can support more than 5 people (9 if you have a multithreaded core). The voice codecs on Vent and TS are absolute s***.
Sure you can argue that the codecs can be changed to better codecs but then you'd just lag horribly as it is. Every Vent server I go on has horrible lag, with the s***ty codecs as is, making me hate it even more! TS has a nice default codec and the lag isn't nearly as bad but it's there.
Oh yea, and the fact that you need a liscence or rent a server through a host for vent servers of more than 8 people; just plain sucks.
Skype > TS > Vent. |
