Okay, Okay, so this is like my 5th post in under a week or so. Oh well.
So anyway, I was shopping for a new video card online, and I see tons of video cards by ATi or Nvidia. I asked this a couple times in the past, so now I want actual results.

Nvidia has the Geforce 6 series, the Geforce 7 series, and the highly acclaimed SLI mode.

ATI has the brand new 1K series out, the X850, and the new CrossFire.

So people, choose who you will side with. Evil or Very Mad
Choose how you prefer, and what you have in your machine right now. Good Idea

I wetn with Jarrett's advice and got a Radeon X800.

You want a top of the line kickass card though, you gotta go with an nVidia 7600 GTX

If you want an absolute top of the line, go with nVidia. If you want a top of the affordable line, go with ATI.

ATI's all-in-wonder cards for the win!

i have had both Nvidia and ATI. I have always run Nvidia up until I made my hometheatre PC I am using a ATI x700pro 256mb to drive my big screen. I would just go to a computer store were they may have demos of the cards on machines and see which one you like and always buy the most memory that you can afford regardless if it is ATI or Nvidia. A side note HL2 endorses the ATI cards to run on its platform.

I run what ever works for me.

I'm currently running on a 6800GT, after upgrading from a 5200Ultra; but NVidia hasn't given me any problems with their cards. While ATi on the other hand has given my friends (whom have ATi cards) problems.

ATI. period. supports Hydravision, which lets you run off of 2 monitors for a single giant desktop, or 2 seperate desktops. useful for running a server and playing at the same time. never have had a prob with my RADEON 9600 (lol bout time for an upgrade Razz). but im going to buy an Nvidia for my next card and see what that offers.

nVidia. Period. No fancy words to describe something that all video cards do. Also, nVidia card = omg total chick magnet (no joke)
