If Norton's software can't remove it...they usually have extensive instructions on their web sita telling you how to manually remove it.

What trojan did it detect? Norton's software will frequently have a link to further instructions on the virus scan screen.

helped someone out w/ this at work(im an isp tech) on satuday.

get ad-aware ( www.lavasoftusa.com ).. install, first update, first full scan. it should find it and likely notify that it "cant remove something it found"(something like that) and ask if you want ad-aware to run the next time you load windows. it will run before anything else loads up, this way it can delete the DLL file that has lodged itself into IE(as a "BHO" browser helper object) and winlogon.
---
try this one too..>>>(EDIT: THIS IS NOT ME, ITS FROM NORTON'S HELP FORUM)

Hi, I'm letting everyone know that I have spent like 4 hours working on this virus today and I have finally come up with a system that I have used to fix multiple computers with this virus.

I made a tutorial up and it's available at:

http://www.nerdhelp.com/forums/internet-and-networking/security-viruses-spyware-adware-etc/trojan-vundo-b-removal-instructions.html

I can also offer some advice as well. Get ride of Norton and get McAfee. I have it and my buddy who runs a computer shop(and also hosts the server) lives by McAfee. He did a test with both Norton and McAfee to see which one picked up viruses better and guess which one came out on top. lol.wav Very Happy
