3.49 at the place closest to me.
We really shouldn't complain. They're hitting 7-8 dollars a gallon in Europe. |

Actually they're paying 7-8 dollars a liter which is less than a gallon. |

Actually...
Gas prices in the UK are currently at a high of 1.28 pounds per litre.
1 US gallon = 3.7854118 litres
1.28 x 3.7854 = 4.8435 pounds per gallon.
1 British pound = 1.7884 U.S. dollars
4.8435 times 1.7884 =
8.6621154 american dollars to the american gallon in the UK.

Gas is around 3.20 or so around me. i have a v8 so it aint to good on gas and i drive a bit to go to work every day so i am constantly filling up my tank every other day.
also over in England and most of the UK there cities have better transit systems and they are a lot more closer spaced together so travel is not needed as much. Also alot of UK cars are smaller engined cars and are very good on gas unlike us Americans who cheerish our SUV's and trucks which guzzle gas like nothing else. Also there emission laws are less strict than ours. The emmision laws here hamper our gas milage so cars that are required to meet these standards get less gas milage than their European counterparts. |

I live in central New Jersey and i filled up my tank on monday, it was $2.43. I talked to my dad and he told me to get gas that day and fill up your truck because it was gonna most likely go up the very next day because of the hurricane. Sure enough it did, i rode by the same gas station it was $2.63. Today the cheapest place around me here in like $2.71...I don't understand this, before the summer started it was not even $2.00 and now i see some stations, its $3.00+. We basically control Iraq right now, one of the biggest oil producers etc...we should take their gas! What ever happened to the old sayin back then/in medieval times, "to the victor goes the spoils!" |

Macro Econonomics 101
If I keep raising my prices, and people continue to buy what I sell, then I should keep raising my prices. When the buying slows, I've found that magic point in the price / demand graph where those two lines intersect.
If you want to know why prices keep going up, look in the mirror. |
