I know there are other threads concerning this but i cannot find them. It has caught my attention that Hlss has comeback as a fad.. and I think there needs to either be rules using it or just ban it permantly i cannot think how many times i will be on the server and lag due to people using it over and over and over and multiple people using it at the same time.

I'm not going to mention any names but I think people have abbused the sounds over the mic to many times. An occasional clip before the gates open or when the map finishes, but though out the whole damn map it pisses me off. This is something where it will get to the point where there will be no fun at cfh and will drive people away including myself. Bad Idea

and when i tell people its lagging *coughgangstercough* they say "THE SERVER ISNT LAGGING, YOU"RE PC IS JUST A PIECE OF CRAP" when the pings go up to 300...

Playing a "short" clip...ie 5 to 10 seconds is usually fine as long as it's not played repeatedly. That just gets plain annoying.

Clips longer than this...or ENTIRE SONGS...are NOT allowed UNLESS you have told others you wish to play it AND they wish to hear it. If you are asked not to...you may not play them.

Let's understand this fully. HLSS uses the servers voice comm channels and DOES use bandwidth. Everytime you use your mic...or play HLSS over voice comm, you're using bandwidth. This CAN and DOES lag players. Maybe not you, maybe not everyone...but id DOES effect playability for some and you must respect that. If you are ruining another players experience by excessively lagging the server...you had best stop immediately.

Well said Chips. I also agree short clips at the beginning or end and occasionally during the game are fine, but doing whole songs or doing sounds repeatedly gets annoying and lags the server.

gilliam being a smartass doesnt help this situation. i dont care if its hlss or what ever people are abusing it. and with someone from the west coast on an east coast server with low internet it lags a lot.

Hate to bring this up yet agian, but seems to me that hlss or the sound bs is making its round in the fad circle agian. So when select people are on im just not going to be on, and if they join I will simply leave. Its not fun when even one of those things playing raises my ping over 300, Like avanti today at 10ish my time.

I think its pretty stupid when a member has to leave due to some bs like this

im sorry, this was the wrong topic to bring it up in. its not about voicecom sounds but the same attitude. your attitude the other night when we were being mean to the bots is what annoyed me. (map haste)

on the voicecom side of thie issue: im sory, i didnt hear you nor see your text
