I'm having a little connection problem and i tried to figure it out, but i couldn't so i need some assistance please...

Here's the problem:

when connecting...when it gets done d/l the security module on the bottom bar and says complete and then the top bar is still verifying and d/l resources all of a sudden it exits out and this comes up: Error! Server verification failed.

Sometimes i can connect just fine and play, but then sometimes that'll come up...Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

A couple of us had this same problem when trying to enter our opponents server for our STA 5v5 match last night. I simply tried again and got in. I'm pretty sure it started with the STEAM update yesterday. They must have farked something up.

I got on our main server last night without any problem after restarting STEAM. Some people leave STEAM open all the time...until they reboot, which might be days for some.

Is it still happening even after rebooting and reopening STEAM. Question

After it happens i try to reconnect again and sometimes it works and sometimes it don't. So i logged off of steam and logged back on and its still like 50/50, it'll work and then it might not. Last night that happened and i restarted my computer and went back on and it happened but then i reconnected and i was fine...It's weird

I dunno, i was fine when i started playin again like 3 weeks ago, then this BS started to happen like 1 or 2 days ago...

Happens to me to over the last 2 days. Just a steam thing, keep trying and you'll get in the serv.

Perhaps after the steam update...our server is in need of an update also. Question

I'll check out my home server and see if there's an update...I'll let ya know.

Yes it is still happening to me and my friend chips.But I usually get in with the 2nd try and so does he. Maybe servers are getting packet and need some time to sort out? Shocked

I started steam tonight at 6:50...there was another update. Confused

That's 3 in 3 days...gg steam. Razz

Also, there was a small update to the server install also. I'll try and contact our server host so he can apply that for us. Although, last time I asked him via e-mail...it was never done. There's probably serveral small updates that have yet to be applied to the server...I'll see what I can do.

ok even though this is another stupid steam/valve thing, i'm just glad that i'm not the only this is happening to.

try fs_lazy_precache 1 in console helped me in DoD and TFC Good Idea

I wonder what they could possibly be doing to any mod that they have to update it daily.
