I dont mean ban for it. I mean rule it out. Make a rule saying Do not do it. Do what you would do if that person were to spam the sounds.

Im also sure that if one spammer see's an Admin enforcing the no spamming rule, the other spammers will not do it.

I understand that spamming will happen and fortunately because I am the coolest person ever, i dont mind it. But if i have to keep running out of my respawn, losing that much health everytime i die... im going to get pissed. And, Chips can verify from the logs, i did get pissed on 2fort with Kyubi. Thats how much i hated it.

As you said, you admins want to play, not to spend time in console. Well, i want to play also, not spend all my time on the pub losing 50 health coming out of the respawn and making sure it wont happen again by playing defense just so i can kill one guy. And as all the vets know, this does not only happen on 2fort. But on almost every map.

What, MM? Instead of banning it, just make it so you can't do it anymore.

Eh, I like STA's rule regarding spamming respawns. Don't do it unless some defensive placement is there. Also that one gren2 isn't spam. If the flag happens to be outside a spawn (happens a lot on well) then offensive MIRVs and such to mostly force the D to the other spawn, IMO is fine. Spamming anywhere away from a spawn (like a napalm wall across a hallway) is a defensive tactic. If the flag is at the bottom of the big ramp on congestus, the ONLY way to properly defend it is to spam that area like hell. Any good O will get right by corteous D.

I understand all the circumstances.

What I am talking about is they are throwing everything they got at the doors. I dont know why they do it. The flags are in the bases, snipers are outside on the deck.

I think this is one of those things where it should be allowed but you'll prolly be hated for it.

actually MM, in banning spamming i meant the "rule" thing, not to ban individual players. banning players for spamming would only come if the no spamming became a rule... and rule breakers are all treated the same

/down with spamming of respawns.

if someone is spamming the respawn then pwn the crap outta them. Just wait till they come and kill them over and over again, until maybe they get the message that "there's no point in doin this anymore, all i'm doin is getting myself killed."

Even Chips will tell ya, when we used to play at Fortweb, all kinds of spamming was allowed, hell even the head admin Ranger_Ric would pipe up to respawn and set pipe bomb traps for the respawners (on 2fort). Then ya know we did, we all would kill him and gang up on him lol, until he stopped...

But, ya shouldn't get pissed MonsterMan, i know you hate to lose health but just wait a couple seconds till the pills or spam is gone and if not, then ask one of your teammates to take care of the guy outside of respawn. It's just not something getting all worked up about, because complaining about this only makes things more stressful and worse, and it makes you look bad, because if people see you getting all pissed at that stuff, then they're are only gonna keep on doing it more and more...and remember, it's just a game Good Idea

No doubt I will kill the son of a itch who spams the respawn, but I dont feel like appointing all my time on him.

Falcon is right. When you respawn, you get full health and grenades. The person outside has (generally) no way of regaining health and nades. He WILL die.

Spamming doesn't take any skill, but it requires skill to kill them. Show some skill, and kick their asses. For the most part, non-spammers are better players than spammers, because the non-spammers have spent more time doing real fighting.

On Drippy's 2fort, a nice rule for the gas grenades was a limit of one at the spawn door.
