Okay, there have been many threads on this but if i bump, i get yelled at so heres the question:
Why is it that I go in the fun house, my ping jumps from 80 to 500 every 20 seconds or so? It happens to everybody.
I need answers, NOW!!!!!!!!  |

Our server is in need of an update...but I doubt that's the problem. Since I run an identical server set-up from home...I can tell you that the spike issue effects both. I know my home server is up to date as I updated it a couple of weeks ago when the update came out.
I know our main server has not been updated due to the date on the files I see there...I only have ftp access. I e-mailed Pat, the server op, the info to update it...but that hasn't been done. Still...I say that's not the problem. |

I currently have $250.00 in donations to the fun house. Depending on what we paid monthly...this would last a maximum of six months if we could find one for around $40.00. That's probably the bare minimum you can find one for...but it wouldn't be a 20 slot public. More like a 12 slot private.
Can anyone recommend a good host that they KNOW is reliable and reasonably priced.  |

I was just looking at clanservers.net. 16 players public with teamspeak and some other frills... $129.95 [US] per month and $49.95 [US] Setup.  |

Adminmod and "some" plug-ins doesn't sound like it would cover what we do here...  |

6 Plug-ins...7 mods.
The mods...radios, chickens, fireworks, hook, foxbots, adminmod, statsme...would be more important than the few plug-ins. Those are the sound, the tag checker, message of the day, map voting, timebombs, bot control. |
