AR from across the map in n00bish and annoying...I feel it's meant for close combat. It's the only real chance a sniper has to fight someone right on top of them. Otherwise...eh.

the AR is rather powerful as is

as accurate as the sniper rifle, fast RoF

its pushes the person being shot

etc

my vote has been Bad Idea

for 5 years. my old clan POD made it a rule (pretty much their only rule) that if u are a sniper u cannot AR another sniper. any other class is ok, but not against another sniper. the glitch in TFC is that if a sniper is being hit while he tries to use sniper rifle, the rifle misfires and it doesnt shoot...... maybe none of u notice it.. but it is real Sad

it REALLY got u good at up close sniping if u stuck to the rules in my old clan server and tried to take peeps in your face. im not a hardcore elitest or anything, but i try not to use AR at any time... AR is powerful.... but cheap Bad Idea

Out of my six to coming seven years of playing, i have only used Auto Rifle 10 times. 8 of those times was because i miss switched to the AR instead of the Crowbar.

I hate it. If you're a sniper, you snipe. If you watch me snipe, anyone that gets close to me I snipe or crowbar. No matter how close, no matter what class. Of course if it's a HW, i run. But i can take on any class w/o an AR and with them 5 feet away.

Practice my good people. If you just quit using the AR, you'll never have to use it again.
