I don't know why, but I've always got a thing for treehouses. I want to just relax in one and read a book. Not just a simple treehouse, though. I'm talking about a good one.. even a two story treehouse.

My brother and I once put together a makeshift treehouse consisting of some boards and sheets of plywood we found laying around on the hillside we lived on along the Hudson river in West New York when we were but small lads. He was 10, I was 8.
We just wedged stuff in where it would fit tightest...no nails or fasteners...wasn't very level or straight.
I remember we found an almost full can of paint and painted it. This big water bug came crawling along...and I whacked him with my brush. He became a permanent part of the place. |
