Is there anyway to make a .gif using a small section of a .g3p or an .mp4?

And if so, what freeware could I use to make it?

Thanks in advance.

Those are both video extensions for the cell phone format I believe. Any utility that can grab (capture) a frame from the video will do. Problem is from what I've seen...only the phones software will play the .g3p file...and/or you'll need the codec to play the mp4 also.

So...find a utility that can grab the frame you want. Then, even MS Paint can convert that image to a .gif.

Wow, I'm impressed, Chips. I think I can find a codec to play .mp4s without too much problem. What's a good utility for grabbing frames?

Edit: Nevermind, google FTW. Thanks for sending me in the right direction, though.
