Word is that X-Spectate and Sparky v3 are now detected by VAC as cheats and will now get anyone running them banned 
Regarding X-Spec this is ridiculous as it only works in spec mode and cant possibly give you an unfair advantage during gameplay.
I know nothing about Sparky and can't comment on it :S
If anyone has been banned here because of this I sincerely apologise for mentiong/linking to it.....But use your voices and let Valve know that they have made a mistake !!!! |

on the contrary. im sure you've heard of shadowing? for those who don't know, it's the act of having another computer on the same IP so you can look at that computer while in spectate to see whats going on. some servers black out the screen when 2 computers are on the same IP when they are in spec/death cam. owned and I got banned from a few servers for this being suspected, but they don't realize that you can sorta only have 1 IP per household here.

I know several peeps here use one or both of these. Just a warning that these are fine to use on our server...always has been.
BUT...if this is true and you are VAC banned for it, don't come crying to me. There's nothing in the world I could do to help you. You've been warned.  |

this uses cheats to detect cheats. it was created by a very well known cheat author. this was inevitable |
