Ok, here is a good one for ya. I dont know jack about setting up a server, and the other community Im in, G4B2S, which originally was a TFC community back in the day, got tired of wasting their spare box on nothing, so last week they set up a 24/7 Dustbowl server.
The question is, no one knows how to do a certain thing with them. Here is the scenario.....
They want 10 bots there, but, they dont want the bots to go away until the total count is, lets say 16 people, then they want the bots to leave 1 at a time as the 17th person comes, then the 18th, yet, the number will still be at 16 due to the remaining bots. THEN, when the 16th real person comes along, there are no more bots.
Can this be done? And if so, what commands or whatever do they need to do?
Thanks on behalf of the guys at G4B2S.com |

There's really only two settings...min_bots & max_bots. Setting min_bots to a number, will leave that number always...taking a spot a human could occupy. Only way to get them to leave after 16 total is ... min_bots -1 & max_bots 16. -1 turns off the min_bots function. |

Which bots do you use Chips? I am working on a DOD
server with bots - setting them up.
and then
How do you remove them before a match? Do you
remove the metamod config file (or whatever file
starts up the bots) and then reboot the
server each time?
... sorry if I hi-jacked this post |

I use Foxbot .698 final without teleporter support. There was some development by some guy after this that started well...but apparently broke down.
Yes Dove...I just change to a different metamod.ini file that only loads etana. Change that and a few other files, (motd, mapcycle, server) and just restart.
One of the original programers was a guy with a screen name of RedFox...ta daaaa !!!
