I get alot of questions from people about video cards, RAM, motherboards, etc. I am posting a few links for people who like to read all the techno babble about PC parts. PM me if you have any questions...

Tech Report has alot of information about alot of different components and does a great job with testing and reporting:

An excellent article regarding RAM:

If you really want to torture yourself with the n'th degree of detail on everything, bookmark the following site. Search here for anything you want to know about PC hardware or software.

I also use a utility to report anything you want to know about the inside of your PC (parts). Download and run the small utility - advisor.exe - from belarc.com. The results open up in a web browser and detail your parts, updates, and software. It's very handy...

Enjoy

Ok, gotta change my opinion on this program. I was pretty impressed last night after installing it and watching all my info pop out. However, while at work I got the distressed call from Mrs TS that the computer had a 'weird' screen on it. After telling her to leave it on and use a diff computer till I got home, upon getting home, lo and behold, the computer was in CMOS.
Hmm....weird, but Ive been in CMOS a million times, so without thinking, I just popped it over to EXIT WITHOUT SAVING CHANGES and restarted.
No probs till she was back on it an hour later........first the mouse froze, then the screen did, then CMOS popped back up.
After reinstalling it, so far. no further issues.
Maybe it was a bad install, dunno, but, I havent had a computer pop into CMOS without my intervention in like, 5 years. (Bad virii will do some crazy things, wont they) Laughing
So, anyone else have any issues with this program? I really did like the little nuggets it gave me and wouldnt mind re-installing in the future, but am a little leary at this point.
