I have ran into several instances when I was on the server with no admin around and some one was being rude,anoying or just plain dumb. So I thought it would be a good Idea to put the steps to get the right kind of proof for a possible ban. can some one plez tell how you can do the following as I'm not sure of every thing myself.
1.record a demo
2.find a players steam id
3.?????any others????
I know to try to get such things as the players name, who was a witness, around about time he/she was on the server.

I usually type record playername
and then condump.
The reason for recording it as the players name is so if you have a few demos on your computer, makes it easier for you to locate on your hard drive.
Condump will give you everyones STEAM ID, and what was typed out the entire time you were on, in addition to everyone there, should a witness be needed to confirm something.
Just dont forget.....in console, type STOP to end the demo before coming out of the game, or it will get messed up.
Lastly, time and date of the action, should Chips need to go thru the lengthy logs to confirm something as well. |

also if ya just wanna view the steam IDs, a quicker way is just to type the word status in the console and then hit enter
Sorry there was no admin available at the time, i'm usually around alot, but we started working on another house and i was busy all day today...as matter of fact i just got home 20 min ago lol. |
