Chips' Fun House ~ View topic - Who's good at modeling/skinning and wants a challenge?

Ok here's what me and a few guys on Custom-TFC need. We need someone to try and convert the Fortress Forever Skins that are out (Soldier, Sniper, Demo, and possibly SG, Dispenser and Weapons) into TF. The medic and scout have been done by Dace and are currently on Fortress Pimp and Custom-TFC. Here is the pic i have:

Afterall, it's the team's work your copying. You're not asking permission, your just straight copying work off the FF team, whether they're given credit to design or not. This is something that if (or rather, when) they find out, it will be shut down (requested at least).

They did the same thing to a soundpack that was released for TFC; the person found a way to get the sounds off the FF site.

Don't do it, it's wrong.

The Reds and Blues really lowered thier standards. They look like Hobos.

How is it "wrong" if people do it all the time? I know people who take models and stuff like that all the time. Plus FF is not made by Valve, it's made by players. If you really want me to, I can go and ask them for it.

I'm getting that medic lol, I pirate crap all the time so it doesnt really bother me.... What started the players to make FF? TFC did so I feel as if they would have no problem letting designs go into the beloved game that gave them there idea.

I have the medic if you need it. (And the scout). PM me if you need it. Or I believe it's on fortresspimp.

so far I've found th medic. But im going to be moving to a new comp. so no use putting anything more on this computer.

But you are pretty much copying their work. They're working their Butts off for this, and we're just going to plagerize? It's a good idea, but it's straying from my ideals.

i dunno, if people start liking the models now, it brings a higher chance of people playing the game when it comes out.

I long ago downloaded the scout and medic...but I've never installed them. Didn't wanna break up my toon models. Laughing

I didn't like em. Bad Idea

They move like the old models with that herky jerky motion. They jump around like idiots...really stupid looking imo. I know those that swear by the old models won't like my critique...but I just don't care for them. They LOOK great...the MOVE awkwardly.
