A few had asked me to post these settings that I've used for a while now. I find them beneficial...especially to mute game sounds when someone is using voice comm. You can hear them much clearer. Of course, these are the settings I use...you can experiment with changing some of these values to find what suits your game style best.
You can put these settings in your autoexec.cfg or usercongif.cfg file.
voice_overdrive "4"
voice_overdrivefadetime "0.400"
voice_maxgain "2"
voice_avggain "0.5"
voice_fadeouttime "0.100" |

| Heh, I had the same thing for a while, and hated it. I'd rather hear my conc beeps than Howling saying stuff. |

Well if youre like most people in the server, the need to conc is like zero since they play engy and sniper :/

| on custom_tfc they have a conc script that runs the conc sound as an auxillary sound that's not effected by this, or lag for that matter. |

| lol most the time I borrow a conc. I'm pretty good at using a borrowed conc if it's not held for a sec first. and no beeps to help. |

| The only default values I'm sure of are overdrive...which is 2 and maxgain...which is 1. If you've never made changes to the others...simply type the command "without" the value in your console. It should show you the current setting which would be the default. |
