Chips' Fun House ~ View topic

I know Chips made a thread a while back about 05, just wondered if anyone here plans on getting it when it come out in 9 days Very Happy

. Since I don't have a job yet and have never had a steady flow of money I've always gotten the game every other year, the last one being 04 (hopefully getting out of school finally I'll be getting a job and won't have to worry about it anymore Razz

). I'll be getting it for the Gamecube which is the only system I have, couldn't imagine playing it on the computer. This year they are adding a whole new mode called superstar mode where you get to create a player all the way down to picking their parents (their job, hobbies and even their IQ Confused

). You get to handle hiring an agent, going to practices, dealing with the media, sounds like an interesting addition to say the least. Also they have added the truck stick, which is like the hit stick on the defensive end where you get to run over the ball carrier harded, except now you can do it with the offense also. So who is getting it? (In only 9 days Very Happy

)

Alright...picking the players parents is just going toooooooooo far. Shocked

I'm sure I'll get it, I get a new one every other year since 98. PS2 for me though, I couldn't play it on my computer.

I occasionally play against the computer...but I mostly play online with my brother. Nothing like playing against real people...eh. Question

Ok, i just bought it earlier today here's the rundown on Madden 2006:

They got that new QB Vision feature and that makes it very hard to pass the ball, so now instead of just throwing the ball to the WR, you have to be very accurate and throw it in a spot where the defender cant get it. It's like real football but it can be annoying at first, so ya have to get used to it.

As for that feature where you can see the life of a player and all that stuff, that's optional, ya don't have to do that, so you don't have to worry about that Chips Good Idea

The graphics are a little better, updated rosters and rookies, the music selection coulda been better, but overall it's good. Not as great as 2005 was when it 1st came out but it's something that all football fans should have (assuming you have PS2 or X-Box). Like i said though the QB Vision feature might turn you off the game at first but it makes the game more challenging which i like, so overall i give it a B- Good Idea

I just got this for Playstation 2 and I have the online adapter. If anyone out there wants to play online let me know Good Idea

I originally had it for gamecube because I didn't have a Playstation 2. Now that I got a Playstation 2 I traded in my Gamecube version for the PS2 version because I played it online over my friends house because it just adds so much to the game, much better than always playing against the computer.
