It's really the same plug-in that's been on the server...with some tweaks to allow the chosen map that wins to begin after the current round ends. This will allow dustbowl style maps to go to the end of the round. Likewise, all other maps will be played to the specified timelimit...typically, 30 minutes. This will be activated after tonights STA match. Please let me know if you see any problems or kinks in how it works.
Special thanks to Mr. GoodWrench.id ... of the Invade/Defend Guild for the tweaks beyond what I was capable of doing. Visit them at www.invade-defend.com
P.S. if it doesnt' work ... it's foo's fault. |

Another feature is that bots being online doesn't screw up the votes needed (I think) |
Hmmm...if that's true, I'll have to change the vote percentage to accomodate that. Can anyone else verify this |

The current vote ratio is at %40 to accomodate for the bots. Six humans would have to vote for a map out of the 16 slots. But that means with a full server...8 people can decide what all 20 must play.
I'll probably increase this to %60 or %65...and/or adjust accordingly. |

Falcon believes he's figured out the full scope of this re-written plug-in. I've set the vote ratio to 60% for a map to win. What that means is 60% of those that vote. If you don't vote...you're not counted at all.
This new plug-in has a "none of the above" option now...the old one didn't. With the old plug-in...if you didn't like any of the map choices, you simply didn't vote for any of them. With the new plug-in, you must vote "none of the above" if you truly don't like any of them...or again, your vote won't count at all.
Example: (bots no longer figure in it, only human votes count)
12 players on the server. If all 12 players vote...for a map to win, there must be 7 votes for that map.
12 players on the server. Only 7 players vote at all. 4 votes for the same map would allow that map to win.
Understood I've increased the amount of time that voting can take place from 30 to 45 seconds. That will be more than enough time for those in the know to ensure everyone has voted for something. This will take a little getting used to...but once everyone knows how it works, it will provide a better environment to select from the 224 maps on the server...or...none of the above. |

ok this thing is gettin more weird everytime...i thought i had it all figured out, and i kno i'm very close to getting it all figured but what just happened...has me confused
Mapvote came up...12 people voted for whatever and within those 12 people 6 voted for voltage and it changed...if my calculations are correct 6/12 is 50%, not 60%....I don't kno what to do, i just wanna get this new plug-in thing figured out and everytime i get close, the situation takes a u-turn!
WHAT THE HELL!!!!!!!!!!! ::bangs head against his desk:: |

As this is not working as I had hoped it would...I've reinstalled the old voting plug-in. As quirky as the old one was...it's better than this one as it exists. I'll tweak it some to see if I can't get it to do what I want it to. |
